Wesley L. Boykin, Ph.D., M.P.H. 


Dr. Wesley L. Boykin is committed and uniquely qualified for the US House of Representatives, District 4.   He was born in Warsaw NC and is a 1975 graduate of James Kenon High School, Warsaw, NC, finishing 4th in his class. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (English major and psychology minor) from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and graduated “Magna Cum Laude”.

He has a broad spectrum of education and work experience in numerous geographic locations. 

Dr. Boykin began his career in the Milwaukee Public Schools as an English teacher. He is formally trained and skilled in Educational Technology; Policy Analysis; and Organizational Development, Training, and Program Evaluation. His professional credentials include a  Master of Science and Ph.D. (research, evaluation and statistical analysis) in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a post-doctoral M.P.H. in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  

He has extensive work experience in his field in Utah, New Jersey, Maryland (Montgomery and PG Counties), South Carolina, Texas, and several other locations.


Dr. Boykin recently retired and currently serves as a planner and organizer of Global Vision International Learning Tours to Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.


Dr. Wesley L. Boykin’s professional experiences have equipped him with a broad understanding of how to build relationships at all levels and help people to become advocates for themselves through effective partnerships with individuals, groups and institutions within their home communities. He hopes to apply this knowledge serving the constituents of the 4th District of North Carolina.
